Browser Specific Issues

Browsers differ in how they execute the download process! Please refer to the instructions for your specific browser.

Netscape      Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer (IE):

Some versions of IE prompt you to open a page before you download a file.  This is a bug in Internet Explorer which will be fixed in a future release by Microsoft.  This page prompt looks like this:

Note that the file name is "Main_Frame.asp". If your dialog box looks like this, you must select "Open this file...".

After pressing OK, a second dialog box will open:

Note that the file name is "FETCH.DOC", which will vary with the actual file you are downloading.  Leave this box set to "Save this file..." and press OK.

The final save as box is the "Save As" dialog, asking where you want to store the file on your machine.  You may store files on any of your local or network drives (C:, F:, etc.).  The file name as stored on the web server will be displayed, you may replace this if you desire.

That's it - the file has been downloaded!
